Rita Lavis, Founder

Rita Lavis is the founder of Berkeley Practice, dedicated to ensuring the very best in hypnosis therapy. Rita qualified as a counsellor at University of Bristol over a decade ago and combines her training as a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist (studied at The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, London) to form an integrated approach for clients seeking help with a broad spectrum of conditions. Having qualified as a general nurse in the mid 80’s Rita has a broad knowledge and experience of medical conditions, culminating her nursing career as sister in the prestigious Cardiology Unit at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Rita has gained an extensive experience working with people who suffer with drug/alcohol addiction, both as a therapist and a nurse.

With her wide-ranging experience of working with people in health care the importance of the well-being of both mind and body needs great consideration. Her choice to move into the therapeutic field is testament to the importance she places on the wellness of the mind.
